Dr Maria Kladnitski

Specialist Obstetrician, Gynaecologist

Maria was born in Russia, in the amazing city of Sankt-Petersburg. She graduated from St Petersburg Medical Academy named after Pavlov in 1989 and spent the next 12 years working mainly in Obstetrics. In recent years she has also completed a Masters in Reproductive Endocrinology at UNSW and joined Fertility North Clinic.

Maria immigrated from Russia to New Zealand in 2002 and, after completing compulsory qualification exams, was able to start working in Wellington Hospital. Due to some differences in medical education and training between the two countries, she undertook some additional studies. In 2009, Maria obtained a Diploma in Obstetrics and Medical Gynaecology at Dunedin University. She went on to successfully complete RANZCOG ITP and was awarded FRANZCOG, Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

She has a particular interest in uroGynaecology, pelvic pain, endometriosis and infertility, colposcopy and vulvar disease and, of course, Obstetrics.

Outside of the medical world, Maria has a wonderful family who she says support her in all her adventures. While she has too many hobbies to fit into her working schedule, she is currently practising her photography skills as WA has so much to offer.
